Acid Trip

This morning I woke up and took a look at Yoshi Sodeoka’s work and immediately felt like I was on drugs. The thought that followed after was: Yoshi must do a shitload of drugs. I’m not just saying that to be one of those assholes who thinks the whole artist-druggie stereotype is true, it’s because he so accurately conveys through colors, sounds, and feelings, what a trip is like. So accurate is his work that it gives me goosebumps…..

While we’re on the topic of drugs, you should really see the film Enter the Void by Gaspar Noe. The entire thing is cleverly filmed, the cinematography is incredible (and seemingly impossible) and everything about it overwhelms you with some nameless feeling. The storyline centers around drugs, sex, rebirth, unconventional love, and undertones of existentialism.
